Multi Table Tournaments (MTTs) are seen as the ultimate poker challenge, a game of poker which can involve up to several thousand players, taking place over many tables. The beauty is that you can buy-in for a small amount, and end up winning a huge prize! The most prestigious prizes in poker are played for in multi table tournament format, including the World Series of Poker (WSOP), held each year in Las Vegas to determine the cream of the world's crop of poker players. In the biggest Poker tournament in history in the 2006 WSOP main event, eventual winner Jamie Gold beat 8,772 other entrants to a prize of $12,000,000 from his initial $10,000 buy-in.
MTTs work in a similar fashion to Single Tables Tournaments (STTs). Players receive an equal amount of chips for their buy-in and house fee. The amount of players who receive payouts depends on the amount of entrants. As with STTs, the blind levels gradually increase in order to eventually find one winner. As players are knocked out, some tables are 'collapsed' with these players filling empty places on other tables. Players are also occasionally moved in order to keep the number of players on each table constant.
To play an MTT, choose a game in the tournament lobby. Double click on the tournament and then click on the 'register' tab. The game will start once all the seats are occupied.
Guaranteed tournaments - we set a minimum prize pool and stick to it, whether there are 20 or 200 players at the tables. Great value, low risk, every single day of the year.
If a tournament is cancelled before it starts then all registered players will be refunded their buy-in and entry fee amounts.
If a tournament crashes after the tournament starts then all non-eliminated players will receive an equal portion of the prize pool.
